The Tweed’s annual Auction of Salmon fishing is now live, and this year it has been expanded to offer anglers the chance to fish in some of Tweed’s tributaries as well. The Auction is run in aid of the Tweed Foundation, which protects and enhances fish stocks in the Tweed system.
The Auction has fishing available to suit all pockets, with reserve prices starting at just £70 for a 2 rod day. Main stem favourites include Tillmouth, Carham, Floors, Rutherford, Mertoun and Gledswood, in lower and middle Tweed, along with Holylee, The Yair and Traquair in the upper reaches, amongst many others. Tributary fishing includes Monteviot on the Teviot, Tiptoe on the Till, and Gainslaw, Bluestone and Abbey St Bathans on the Whiteadder.
