Monitoring the Migration of Tweed Salmon and Trout
To celebrate the installation of the new Ettrick fish counter on the Philiphaugh Cauld, and to coincide with World Fish Migration day, James Hunt from The Tweed Foundation will provide several informal talks on the fish counter and the importance of maintaining open rivers for migratory fish.
To attend, please come along to the Salmon Viewing Centre for either 13:00 or 14:30. James will give a talk of around half an hour at The Salmon Viewing Centre before a walk up to the Cauld to explain more about the fish counter project.
There is no requirement for booking but we are limited to around 20 people per talk to fit into The Salmon Viewing Centre. If we are oversubscribed, we will arrange a third session later on in the afternoon.
This fish counter has been provided with the support of The Scottish Government
