The Nest consists of 1.5 miles of left bank fishing with five main pools offering anglers a range of fishing. The beat can fish five rods easily in low water, with 13-15ft and 9-11 weight rods most suitable for the beat. There is a modest but comfortable fishing hut. Torwoodlee is a fly fishing beat but do allow spinning only when the level is above 2'6" on the Peebles gauge and the date is within the Tweed rules.
