The Yair beat consists of three miles of right bank fishing bordering Peel to the top, approximately 300 yards above Ashiesteel Bridge, and Sunderland Hall to the bottom. The beat offers a wide variety of fishing with more than 16 named pools, of which most are easily accessible, and these are divided to allow fishing for seven rods. Rods are let from April through to the end of November.
The fishing hut offers facilities for lunch, tea and coffee and has a gas hob and running water. A four by four vehicle is needed to access the bottom end of the beat. The ghillie will be on hand to help.
