TWEED AUCTION OF SALMON FISHING
FRIDAY 25TH MAY 2018
2018 TWEED SALMON FISHING AUCTION is now live, offering anglers the opportunity to fish on this wonderful river. The Auction is run in aid of the Tweed Foundation, the fisheries trust for the Tweed, which protects and enhances fish stocks throughout the river system.
There are 39 lots on offer, covering 22 beats, and including prime angling favourites such as Upper Floors and Carham as well as some opportunities to fish Upper Tweed beats and tributaries. Following the shifting run times of Salmon in the River over the last few seasons, most of the fishing in this year’s Auction is during the early autumn period, August and September, with some days also on offer from June onwards. Guide prices range from £1,000 a day down to just £40, with the majority typically on offer at the £250 mark for a full day for 2 rods.
Alternatively call the office for a copy of the brochure, which includes recent average catches for the featured beats. The deadline for both email and postal bids is 5 pm on Thursday, 24th May 2018, with the Auction taking place the following day.
