The Presentation for the Bemersyde Trophies took place at Bemersyde House on Thursday 5th April 2018 hosted by Lady Haig. The awards are given out each season for the best fish caught on the Tweed. The winners are decided by a panel of judges who had earlier decided that for the 2017 season the Senior winner is John Rogers, with Debbie Harris (aged 10) as the Junior winner after catching her first ever Salmon. Well done to both.

Senior:-
John Rogers with a 33lb fish caught at Upper Caberston.
The fish was caught by in the Cauld Hole Pool on the 16th October 2017, the fish was weighed by the Ghillie, Steve Dickson in front of John and his friend Neil Crow (who supplied the photos) and the fish weighed 15kg exactly equating to 33lbs and was returned safely.
Junior:-
Debbie Harris Aged 10 caught her first ever Salmon weighing 10lbs at Lower Birgham under the careful watch of Ryan Morrison on the 4th April 2017.
