Following the announcements made on Monday night by the UK and Scottish Governments there are now only a limited number of permissible reasons for leaving our homes. These reasons do not include leisure pursuits such as fishing.
The new regime is being introduced for the protection of the general public. In the context of the River Tweed the health and welfare of Boatmen, Fishers and their respective families and the wider Tweed Community is the primary concern. Until such time as the Coronavirus is under control and subject to any clarification issued by the Governments we should accept that fishing as an activity is not possible.
In view of the fact that the office at Drygrange is now closed and RTC staff are remote working any enquiries to RTC should be emailed to firstname.lastname@example.org. We will do our best to respond as soon as possible. If in any doubt however about actions to be taken in the light of the Coronavirus outbreak please refer to the relevant page on the Scottish Government website relating to Coronavirus https://www.gov.scot/
